A meeting of Intellectual of Property Enforcement Coordination Committee,
Karachi was held on 2nd Feb 2008, at conference hall, PSO House,
Clifton, Karachi. The meeting was chaired by Prevez Kausar, Chairman,
Policy Board, IPO-Pakistan. Representatives of IP enforcement agencies,
i-e, Customs, Police, PEMRA, and Police Crimes Branch attended the
meeting. Col. (R) Faiz Mukhtar Qureshi CEO of PIPS (Pvt) Ltd gave
a power point presentation on matters of: current situation of IP
crimes in the country; Statistics of enforcement activity in the
past 2 year. What cooperation is being extended by law enforcement
agencies; identification of new items being counterfeit and “way
forward” for year 2008.
